Goondi State School is enrolment managed and has an official catchment area. All enrolments are subject to the Goondi State School enrolment management plan.
Any student, whose principal place of residence is within the school's catchment area is entitled to enrol at the school. Parents or legal guardians who wish to enrol their child at the school will need to demonstrate that the student's principal place of residence is within the catchment area. Please refer to the Goondi State School enrolment management plan for proof of residency documentation that will be required.
A catchment area map is available and should be used to determine whether you live in the catchment area. If you live in the school's catchment area and can provide proof of residency, you will be required to complete and submit the following documentation as part of the enrolment process:
Applications from outside the school's catchment are restricted. The principal will only enrol out-of-catchment students if there is sufficient spare capacity after reserving places for students who move into the catchment area. If you are interested in being considered for enrolment and placed on our waiting list, please complete the Expression of Interest to Enrol form.
Prep is a full-time early education program and children attend from Monday to Friday during normal school hours, from 8.45 am to 3.00 pm. Children must be 5 years old by 30 June in the year they start prep. To determine when your child can commence their prep year, use the prep ready reckoner calculator.
